[If Accelerator is deigning to continue this conversation, even with Monty's obvious bristling, Monty's going to assume it's something he considers important. That means it's likely a threat. He sets aside his vendetta against the man for a moment.]
Yes. He mentioned he's been locked up and had to escape from several prisons in his life. I gathered he was not a very nice man, though an exceptionally clever one.
[Monty isn't terribly familiar with Norse mythology - his interests have always tended toward the Greeks and Romans for that sort of thing- but he resolves to see if he can find anything on it in the new libraries.]
I see. Do you expect him to work against our company in some manner?
[Accel isn't too familiar with Norse mythology either, however he did at least know of the Loki in the Country for a good year. On top of that, GREMLIN's magicians back home seem to have a fondness for Norse mythology, considering their leader calls herself Othinus. He did manage to do a little reading up on things here and there.]
I don't expect him to work with the group outside of when it benefits him, let's put it that way. He's known for being a trickster god. I didn't talk to him much personally, but the Loki I knew was a sorcerer and had no compunctions against broadcasting a murder on the local network.
He sounds a very poor trickster, indeed, if he was openly broadcasting and taking credit for murder. I should think a bit more subtlety might be warranted.
[Which is probably saying enough for now on how he'd approach something like that.]
Thank you for the information, in any case, Mr. Accelerator. I shall share it with my network to ensure Loki is kept under adequate surveillance.
To be fair, it was the end result of a trial where anyone who passed the trial had to either kill whoever made them take it, or grant them mercy. I'm sure he's plenty capable of subtlety.
[Accelerator was one of the others who went the 'kill route' for that, when he finally got to take his Rajput trial.]
Your 'network,' huh... Well, whatever. I only contacted you because someone ought to know about that bastard, and you might as well be that someone, given your role as the listmaker.

Was he tall with long dark hair?

Several prisons, huh? Why am I not surprised?
That guy is the Loki from Norse mythology. Or at least some version of him from some world or another. You don't want to mess with him.

[Monty will never live that down.]

[And it will continue to grate on his nerves. Just like Accelerator.]
I appreciate the the information, in any case. I may have follow-up questions. Until then, good day, sir.
