[Espio will leave it to Monty to drag more information out of the Hedonists seeing as he's the one who keeps getting into everyone else's business - he suspects he is more familiar with the Hedonists than himself.]
You do have a wide range of contacts. Figured I'd check with you first.
[Well, it's nice to know he's a valued resource, even if Espio is an ass about his writing at times.]
I've asked Mr. Mencius about the altar. It's apparently something that belongs to Ms. Aletheia. The effects would seem to be the same for everyone who approaches it, according to him. If you'd like to put out a bulletin, I'll move my directory and missing list to the library with histories. It should keep them out of the elements and people away from the thing's effects.
I would definitely move the lists to the library. It's a sensible place to put them, and keeping people from those effects is a good idea for the most part.
What I'm not sure about is how widespread we should make that information about the altar, at least right away. I brought it up because I realised it could be useful in dealing with certain people if need be. A potential defense, in other words.
The info'll get out, of course, but maybe we should bring it up to the law enforcement types first.
[Well, now. That's an interesting thought. And also a dangerous one.] I'm hesitant to withhold such vital information for anyone innocent who might blunder into the issue. This isn't a piece of information I would like it known that we had and did not share. I can see your point, though.
A compromise: I would like to note it in my next update to the group at large, but I can hold off on it until you inform the more communally-minded members of our law enforcement team of the situation. [Meaning don't include Raylan in that group.]
I found that my abilities returned after twenty-four hours or so. It was a pain in the ass, but temporary. I would say that it's an inconvenience more than a danger, and currently insignificant enough that people haven't noticed or reported it yet.
That compromise works for me.
Who should I be contacting? Unlike some people, I don't have an impressive network. I like that one detective, though. Joseph Oda, I think?
